Our College’s Students Achieve Great Success Again in the 2024 Shanghai Female College Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition!
Awards ceremony
Recently, the awards ceremony of the 2024 Shanghai Female College Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was successfully held at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Our university achieved remarkable results, securing 1 Second Prize and 1 Third Prize, while the institution itself was honored with the “Outstanding Organization Award”. Notably, our university stood out as the only higher vocational college to win in the entrepreneurship category. These accomplishments mark a historic milestone for our institution, representing both record-breaking achievements and the highest number of awards ever received in the history of this competition.
After the competition’s launch in June, our university’s leadership placed great emphasis on participation. Through active mobilization by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship College and various secondary colleges, our institution selected 247 projects to compete in the municipal semi-finals. Ultimately, 2 projects stood out and advanced to the municipal finals, competing alongside 15 undergraduate institutions including Donghua University and Fudan University. Following intense competition, our university’s projects achieved remarkable success: 1. Second Prize in the Entrepreneurship Category: “Guangjie Zhihang – Offshore Unmanned Cleaning Photovoltaic Industry Practitioner” 2. Third Prize in the Creative Category: “Bing Xiao Xue Shi – China’s First Three-in-One Snow Removal and Ice Breaking Machine”

The 2024 Shanghai Female College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is a big event in Shanghai. It’s organized by several important city departments and supported by universities and women’s groups. This year’s competition was quite popular: • Over 1,400 students signed up • They came from 55 different colleges • 11 local women’s groups were involved • 1,094 different projects were entered The competition aims to encourage young women in college to come up with new ideas and start businesses. It’s a great chance for female students to show their creativity and entrepreneurial skills.

The school plans to continue using this competition as a platform to support female students’ success. They aim to improve resource use, enhance innovation support, and boost women’s employment and entrepreneurship. By discovering great projects, encouraging participation in innovation contests, and inspiring students to explore new ideas, the school hopes to help female students thrive in their careers. This effort showcases that women today can innovate, pursue their dreams, and achieve just as much as men. Ultimately, the goal is to empower female students to make significant contributions to society and demonstrate their capabilities in the modern world.
