“Qihang” Social Work Association

The “Qihang” Social Work Association, established in 2006, is a student organization affiliated with the Social Work major of the School of Art and Design. The association is committed to applying the theories, methods, and techniques of social work within the campus community. It strives to improve the learning environment, support students in need, and help them better adapt to academic and daily life.

Through active engagement with students, faculty, and the broader community, the association works to prevent and address student-related issues, foster healthy personal development, and promote a positive and inclusive campus atmosphere. It also encourages personalized and life-oriented educational approaches to better prepare students for integration into society.

Key activities include:

  • “I Am Your Eyes” – a guided tour and educational initiative at the Shanghai New Fashion Waste Sorting Science Museum
  • International Day of Persons with Disabilities – themed awareness activities
  • Sign Language Education Lecture – held at the Jiading District Rehabilitation Training Center for People with Disabilities
  • “Hand-in-Hand” Love & Care Volunteer Service Program
