On April 26, 2024, the men’s basketball league organized by the “Jiakuntai” Vocational Education Alliance concluded successfully at Shanghai Arts and Crafts Vocational College. The tournament featured four teams from the Jiading-Kunshan-Taicang region: Shanghai Polytechnic Institute, Shanghai Arts and Crafts Vocational College, Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Vocational Technical College, and Suzhou Silicon Lake Vocational and Technical College.
After internal selection, our school’s 15-member basketball team represented the college in this competitive event. Throughout the tournament, the players demonstrated outstanding skills and an unyielding spirit. Their close teamwork and precise tactical execution led them into the finals, where they faced fierce competition in a nail-biting match. Both teams played intensely, trading points with little separating them. Despite their valiant efforts and several highlight-worthy plays, our team narrowly missed the championship by just one point, finishing as the tournament’s runner-up.
School leadership praised the team’s excellent performance and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in future competitions. The school remains committed to investing in sports programs and providing students with more opportunities to train and showcase their talents.
This tournament not only promoted sports exchange among vocational colleges but also enhanced our school’s visibility and influence in sports education. We are confident that our students will continue to embody the spirit of sportsmanship and contribute to society with well-rounded talents.
