Shanghai College of Science and Technology excels in nurturing innovative talent through its integrated education model. Students have earned over 300 major awards and secured multiple patents, with several projects successfully launched as startups—showcasing the school’s strong focus on real-world impact.

Focusing on nurturing a new generation of innovative technical talent, the school has fully implemented a comprehensive education reform model integrating “Work-integrated Learning, Curriculum, Competitions, Certifications, and Innovation.” It has established a supportive platform for innovation and entrepreneurship education and was approved as a “Shanghai Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Practice Base.”

SCST students have achieved over 300 awards at the provincial and ministerial levels or above. These include 6 national-level awards in the “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and 71 awards in the Shanghai regional competition, with more than 15 of them being first prize or higher — consistently placing the school at the forefront among higher vocational institutions in Shanghai. Students have submitted over 100 patent applications, with 19 patents already granted. Supported by the Jiading Economic Park, 23 students have successfully launched and registered their startups.
