Launched in 2014, this program at Shanghai Information Technology School was among the first in the country to offer a secondary vocational curriculum in robotics. After years of dedicated development, it has achieved outstanding results. The school hosts a National-Level Teaching Innovation Team for Industrial Robot Technology Application, consisting of 16 faculty members: 13 full-time instructors and 3 long-term enterprise-appointed experts. One team member holds the title of Shanghai Municipal Chief Technician.
The program has earned two First Prizes in Shanghai Municipal Teaching Achievement Awards, a Third Prize in the National Teaching Ability Competition, and a Grand Prize in the Shanghai Secondary Vocational Teacher Teaching Ability Competition. Under expert guidance, students have also won numerous awards in the Shanghai “Star Plan” Vocational Skills Competition and the National Vocational Skills Competition (Shanghai Selection).
Career opportunities include positions in industrial robot system debugging, operation and maintenance, system integration, and technical support. Graduates may also work on station-level installations, programming, simulation design, sales, and more.
This program at Shanghai Information Technology School is part of the Secondary-to-Higher Vocational Education Integration initiative with the Industrial Robot Technology program at Shanghai College of Science and Technology.
