Shanghai Dazhong Technical School

Established in 1985, Shanghai Dazhong Technical School is a nationally recognized model school for secondary vocational education reform and development, as well as a key national-level secondary vocational school specializing in engineering programs. The school integrates three major functions: academic education, vocational skills training, and skills certification. It offers 15 full-time academic programs across 9 disciplines and is authorized to provide vocational skill training at all levels, from junior workers to technician certification. The school hosts four national vocational skills assessment centers in machining, electrical work, bench work, and culinary arts. Covering an area of 120 mu (approximately 20 acres) with a building area of 97,000 square meters, the school’s total fixed assets amount to 220 million RMB. It currently has nearly 3,000 full-time academic students, and provides vocational training and assessment to more than 4,000 individuals annually. The school is equipped with a state-of-the-art modern training center totaling around 18,000 square meters. Among them, the CNC machining, mechatronics, and auto repair training centers have been designated as Star-Level Open Training Centers for vocational education in Shanghai.

Shanghai Material Engineering School

Founded in 1979, Shanghai Materials Engineering School is a public secondary vocational school under the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. It is a nationally recognized key secondary vocational school and one of the first featured model schools for reform and development in Shanghai’s secondary vocational education system. It is also a designated high-quality secondary vocational school in Shanghai. The school has been named a “Shanghai Civilized Campus” for 22 consecutive years and has received numerous honors, including Model School for Law-Based Governance, Model School for Student Conduct, Model School for Family Education, and Advanced Collective in the Shanghai Education System. In alignment with Shanghai’s economic development and rooted in the school’s distinctive “Wisdom & Bamboo” culture, the curriculum focuses on “Smart Living,” “Smart Manufacturing,” and “Smart Innovation,” forming three major program clusters: Materials Applications, Intelligent Manufacturing, and Digital Creativity, encompassing a total of nine majors. Among them, the Intelligent Equipment Operation and Maintenance program is recognized as a branded, key, and featured specialty in Shanghai. Shanghai Qunxing Vocational-Technical School

Shanghai Qunxing Vocational-Technical School is a key public comprehensive secondary vocational school in Shanghai. It has been designated by the Ministry of Education as a “National Demonstration Base for Animation and Game Majors in Secondary Vocational Schools.” It also serves as the chair institution of the Digital Art Teaching Research Committee (Secondary Vocational Schools) under the Teaching Work Committee of the China Vocational Education Society, and leads the National Animation and Game Education Alliance for Secondary Vocational Schools. Additionally, it is a “Pilot School for E-sports Programs in Shanghai’s Secondary Vocational Education.” The school emphasizes school-enterprise cooperation and welcomes enterprises onto campus. Three programs have been approved as Shanghai municipal-level pilots for the modern apprenticeship system. The school also jointly runs integrated secondary-to-undergraduate and secondary-to-higher vocational education pilot programs with several universities, all of which are progressing smoothly. Its international collaborations, such as with Dong-Eui University in South Korea, have produced strong results. Over its more than 40 years of development, the school has continually raised the level of its programs and deepened its educational quality. Shanghai Information Technology School

Shanghai Information Technology School was established in July 1959 and is located in the Taopu Smart City of Shanghai. It is a nationally designated key secondary vocational school known for its commitment to reform and innovation, and for its distinctive educational characteristics. The school is among the first group of National Demonstration Schools for Reform and Development of Secondary Vocational Education. It has been honored as a National Advanced Collective in the Education System for three consecutive terms, a National Model Institution for Vocational Education, the Chair Unit of the National Secondary Vocational School Principals’ Joint Conference, and one of the Top 50 Schools in Teaching Management among National Vocational Institutions. It was also selected as one of the first pilot schools for teaching diagnosis and improvement in national secondary vocational schools, and as one of the first Benchmark Schools for Educational Informatization Application in Shanghai. Shanghai Second Light Industry School is a public full-time secondary vocational school established in 1982 with the approval of the Shanghai Municipal Government. It is under the supervision of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and managed by Shanghai Polytechnic University. It is a national key secondary vocational school, one of Shanghai’s Top 100 Secondary Vocational Schools, and a Model School for the Reform and Development of Secondary Vocational Education in Shanghai.
