On October 27–28, the finals of the 2024 World Vocational College Skills Competition—Higher Vocational Group, Finance and Business Track (Cross-border E-commerce category)—were held at Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College.
Guided by Ms. Cao Chunhua and Mr. Zhang Wenxi from the School of Business and Management, the team consisting of E-commerce students Xu Yinghao, Lin Jun, Ma Yuedong, and Liu Yunzhen demonstrated outstanding skills and strong teamwork. Competing fearlessly against top teams from across the country, they stood out among 60 teams nationwide and ultimately claimed the Gold Award with the highest score.

In March of this year, the cross-border e-commerce competition team won First Prize in the “Cross-border E-commerce” category of the 2024 Shanghai Vocational College Skills Competition (Higher Vocational Group), earning a spot in the national competition.
Following the official upgrade of the “National Vocational College Skills Competition” to the “World Vocational College Skills Competition” in September, the team quickly adapted to the new format and requirements of the international-level contest. Despite challenges such as tight timelines and major changes in competition methods, they coordinated internal and external resources, worked collaboratively, and prepared tirelessly day and night. With meticulous attention to every detail, the team continuously sparked innovative ideas through brainstorming and ultimately showcased exceptional skills and professionalism during the competition.

The school attached great importance to this competition. Throughout the preparation process, school leaders visited the training site multiple times to provide careful guidance, offer strategic direction for project refinement, and encourage the faculty-student team to give their best efforts, greatly boosting team morale.
Han Fang, Deputy Party Secretary and President of the school, personally joined the team in discussing project proposals and guided the selection of the theme focused on promoting silk culture. During the preparation phase, team members visited the exhibition halls of leading Chinese silk exporters, Kaixiya Group and Wensli Innovation Center, and received expert guidance from Wu Jingen, President of the Zhejiang Silk Association.
Winning this competition represents not only a milestone achievement in the development of the high-level e-commerce program cluster but also a testament to the school’s educational quality and the success of its industry-education integration efforts. Building on this momentum, the school will continue to deepen the integration of vocational education with industry development, striving to cultivate more innovative, practical, and highly skilled professional talents who will contribute meaningfully to economic and social progress.
