Ms. Xiaoyan Ren, born in December 1977, holds a Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Applications from Soochow University. She is a lecturer and currently serves as the Director of the Information Technology Teaching and Research Section within the General Education Department.

Ms. Ren has led and participated in various curriculum development projects, including the Shanghai Young Scholars Program project titled “Design and Implementation of a Teaching Application Platform for the Level-One Computer Proficiency Exam”, and courses such as Data Structures (JAVA) and Fundamentals of Computer Applications. She has contributed to the compilation of several textbooks, including Fundamentals of Computer Applications and Basic Information Technology and Applications, and has published multiple academic papers.

Under her leadership, the teaching section has continuously pursued educational reforms, resulting in students from the college consistently achieving top-tier pass rates in the Shanghai Level-One Information Technology Proficiency Exams among peer institutions.

Ms. Lou is a mathematics teacher in the General Education Department at Shanghai Vocational College of Science and Technology. She is an Associate Professor, Director of the Mathematics Teaching and Research Section, and a Level-Two Academic Supervisor. Dedicated and diligent in her educational role, she places strong emphasis on professional ethics, embodying the ideals of teaching and personal integrity. She is regarded as a role model for her students.

Ms. Lou is primarily responsible for teaching Advanced Mathematics, Mathematics for Economics, and the elective course Mathematical Modeling. She continuously strengthens her theoretical foundation and enriches her professional knowledge, enhancing her ability to deliver high-quality instruction.

She integrates mathematical modeling concepts into her Advanced Mathematics courses, helping vocational students appreciate the importance of mathematics and increasing their interest in the subject. As a result, mathematical modeling activities have gained strong traction among students.

Ms. Lou provides one-on-one tutoring for students with weaker foundations and encourages them to catch up. In her teaching, she adheres to the principles of “strengthening the foundation, cultivating ability, developing intellect, and improving overall quality.” She adapts her teaching methods based on students’ needs and abilities, stimulating their motivation and engagement so every student can benefit. She respects each student’s individuality and guides them in developing life skills, self-learning abilities, and entrepreneurial thinking. She upholds the philosophy of “everything for the students, for all students, and for every aspect of students,” treating each student with kindness, tolerance, and understanding. Her character and conduct positively influence and inspire students, embodying the mission of education in every aspect of her teaching practice and contributing to the development of high-quality talent for society.

Mr. Xiaobo Song is a member of the Communist Party of China and holds a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from East China Normal University. He is an engineer and technician by qualification. Formerly the Deputy Director of the Graphic and Information Center, he now serves as the Deputy Director of the General Education Department at Shanghai College of Science and Technology, where he is primarily responsible for daily administrative operations.

Mr. Song has long overseen the college’s digital infrastructure and the development of public training laboratories. He has provided technical support for numerous national and municipal-level examinations, including:

  • National Occupational Skill Testing
  • Unified Examinations for the National Online College
  • National Mandarin Proficiency Test
  • Shanghai Information Technology Examinations
  • Unified Reform Curriculum Examinations for the Shanghai Open University

In addition, he teaches a range of courses, such as University Information Technology, Digital Media Technology, Information Security, E-commerce, and Office Automation. He has participated in special research projects under the Shanghai University Young Faculty Talent Development Program and has published several professional papers.

Professor He is a member of the Communist Party of China and a national-level basketball referee. In 2013, he served as the Dean of the School of Physical Education at Yangzhou Polytechnic College. He is currently the Deputy Director of the General Education Department and the Head of the Physical Education Teaching and Research Section at Shanghai College of Science and Technology.

In 2011, he was recognized as one of the “Top Ten Distinguished Teachers” at Yangzhou Vocational University. He also served as a domestic technical official for the 3×3 basketball events at both the 2013 Asian Youth Games and the 2014 Youth Olympic Games. Additionally, he has held several key positions, including:

  • Director of the Jiangsu Basketball Referee Training Base
  • Vice President of the Yangzhou Basketball Association

Professor He’s work reflects a strong commitment to both academic excellence and the development of sports education in China.

Professor Wu, male, was born in 1962. He is a former (Level 3) Professor at Shanghai University. He has completed postdoctoral research in the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, as well as in the Department of Mathematics at Nanjing University. He is currently serving as the Director of the Department of Basic Courses.

His primary research interests include analytic number theory, convex geometric analysis, global optimization theory and algorithms, game theory, and economic informatics. He has achieved numerous accolades in teaching and academic research, including:

  • In 1987, his book The Riemann Hypothesis was published and later won the First Prize for National Educational Books in 1988.
  • That same year, his paper An Improvement of a Theorem by Chen Jingrun on the upper bound coefficient estimate of “1+1” produced results that still remain the best in the world.

Major honors include:

  • 2005: National Excellent Teacher Award from Baosteel Education Fund
  • 2006: Distinguished Teaching Award of Shanghai University
  • 2007: Lead contributor to Advanced Mathematics, which was recognized as a Municipal-Level Flagship Course in Shanghai
  • 2008: First Prize in Teaching Achievements at Shanghai University (lead contributor)
  • 2009: Second Prize in Shanghai Municipal Teaching Achievements (lead contributor)

During his tenure at Shanghai University, he led students to outstanding achievements in the National Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling, with teams from the undergraduate division frequently ranking in the top three in Shanghai (and winning multiple national first prizes), and teams from the junior college division (Shanghai University Vocational College) maintaining the highest award rate in the city.

To date, he has published 12 academic books and over 80 papers in well-known domestic and international journals.
