The Creative Arts Club, established in 2011, is a professional student organization affiliated with the School of Art and Design. The society’s activities are divided into two main sections: the Handicrafts Division and the Media Division.
The Handicrafts Division focuses on creative activities such as hand-drawing, clay modeling, pipe cleaner crafts, and wool felting, offering students fun and relaxing ways to engage in arts and crafts outside the classroom.
The Media Division introduces members to essential editing software such as Photoshop (PS), Illustrator (AI), and Premiere (PR), enabling them to design posters, edit videos, and enhance images. These skills enrich students’ extracurricular experiences, improve their hands-on capabilities, and provide professional development opportunities for both design and non-design majors.
Members have won awards in various design competitions, including the “Best Design Award” and “Excellent Work Award” in the Lijing Community Logo Design Contest. Through the society, members explore new media and graphic design techniques, attend exhibitions and lectures to broaden their artistic perspectives, participate in competitions, and manage public social media accounts to build real-world skills. It’s also a great place to meet new friends and creative partners.
