The School of Communication and Electronic Engineering

The School of Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering originated from the university’s long-established Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and is one of the earliest faculties founded. It consists of two specialized clusters focusing on automotive technology and intelligent manufacturing, covering seven disciplines aimed at cultivating highly skilled professionals to meet the industry's demand for multidisciplinary technical talent. The school boasts a strong academic atmosphere, experienced faculty, and dedicated students with a passion for their fields. With over 4,000 square meters of advanced training facilities and more than 1,000 pieces of equipment, it provides comprehensive practical training to enhance students' professional competence and technical skills.

Zongfeng Zou

Dean of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering
Professor and Doctoral Supervisor

Dr. Zou holds bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation from Shanghai University and completed postdoctoral research at Fudan University. He has been a senior visiting scholar at MIT and the University of Florida. Specializing in IoV technology, automation control, system simulation, AI, and big data, he has published over 60 influential papers, including more than 20 indexed in SCI/SSCI. Dr. Zou has led over 20 provincial and ministerial research projects, securing funding exceeding 10 million RMB. He also holds key positions in industry associations and has received multiple awards, including the Shanghai Teaching Achievement First and Second Prizes and the title of "Shanghai Research Star."

Master of Skills Forum, Session 3

On December 24, 2024, the School of Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering hosted the third session of the "Master of Skills Forum" featuring Wang Jun, a skill expert from Baosteel, China Baowu Steel Group. His lecture, themed "Empowering with Craftsmanship, Contributing Value through Innovation," encouraged faculty and students to focus on innovation. The event inspired new ideas, and the school plans to continue using the forum to cultivate high-quality skilled talent.
